Marjorie J. Scharpf is a tax attorney with more than twenty years of experience,
concentrating in tax, estate planning and estate and trust administration. Her
practice has focused on helping small and family-owned businesses with general
tax, business and succession planning. She has also represented taxable and
tax-exempt organizations in all stages of the business cycle from incorporation
and on-going operations to dissolution and liquidation.
Marjorie received both her Bachelor of Arts degree and her
Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh. While at
the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Marjorie was a
member of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. After
graduation, she served as a law clerk in the
United States District Court for Delaware for two years.
Marjorie has a Masters in Taxation from Villanova University
School of Law.
Marjorie practiced in Evansville, Indiana with the law firm
of Kahn, Dees, Donovan and Kahn, LLP, for ten years, the last
three as a partner. While in Indiana, Marjorie served as
Chairman of the Evansville Bar Association Elder Law Committee
and President of the Employee Benefits Council.
Marjorie is admitted to the Bars in Pennsylvania and
Indiana. She is also admitted clients, in the United States Tax Court, and federal and state
courts in Pennsylvania and Indiana. |
