F. Emmett
Fitzpatrick, III has a wide-ranging practice which includes
criminal defense, civil litigation, real estate, entertainment
law, and international business transactions.
Mr.
Fitzpatrick received his bachelor’s degree from the University
of California, San Diego, in 1982, and his Juris Doctor degree
from Villanova University School of Law in 1985. Prior to
joining Flamm Walton in 2009, he was a shareholder in
the Philadelphia firm of Fitzpatrick & Caravasos, PC.
In his
litigation practice Mr. Fitzpatrick focuses on defending clients
who have been charged with serious federal or state crimes;
representing injured plaintiffs in significant personal-injury
actions; and representing businesses in contractual disputes.
His transactional practice involves the negotiation, analysis,
and structuring of commercial transactions. He has represented
both buyers and sellers of businesses and real estate, has
negotiated employment contracts for radio and television
personalities, has arranged international joint ventures; and
has secured agreements for United States basketball players to
play in the European leagues.
Mr.
Fitzpatrick is also very interested in Internet law and
technologies. He is the author of "Internet Essentials for the
Pennsylvania Attorney" (Bisel Publishing, 2000), a pioneering
guide to utilizing Internet resources in the practice of law.
He has been a course planner and lecturer for continuing legal
education seminars sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute,
National Business Institute, the Bisel CLE Institute, and other
providers.
Mr. Fitzpatrick is a member of the Pennsylvania, California, and
New Jersey Bar Associations, as well as the Philadelphia Area
Business Leader’s Alliance. He is admitted to practice in the
Supreme Court of the United States; the Pennsylvania Supreme
Court; the California Supreme Court; the New Jersey Supreme
Court; the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit;
the United States District Court for the Eastern District of
Pennsylvania; and the United States District Court for the
District of New Jersey. |
