Alan
Boroff was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1932. He received his
B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1953
and his LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1958.
Alan served
as law clerk to the Honorable Morris Gerber of the Court of
Common Pleas of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Thereafter, he
spent twenty years with Wisler, Pearlstine, Talone, Craig &
Garrity (fifteen years as a partner) and practiced litigation,
domestic relations and municipal law.
From 1980
through 1994, Alan was a partner at Boroff, Harris & Heller,
which he founded, and continued his activities in the areas of
litigation, domestic relations and municipal law.
Over the past
several years, Alan has concentrated his practice in the area of
municipal law and land development matters. He currently
represents Royersford Borough and the Upper Merion Municipal
Utility Authority. He has also represented Upper Merion
Township, Springfield Township, Skippack Township, Skippack
Township Authority and the Norristown Municipal Utility
Authority. This representation has provided him with expertise
in a variety of activities including zoning and land
development, real estate, municipal finance, municipal taxation,
contract law, inter-municipal agreements and related activities.
Alan has also served as a lecturer for various
PBI programs on topics of municipal law and litigation. |
